Feb 2009. I had a fantastic day here. We have been to Cairo before and had asked to see some different things on our trip as we were private, this was not a problem for them! They made lots of changed to the standard planned trip to make an absolutely fantastci day, tailored to what we wanted!! I deffinatley recommend a private tour when visiting Cairo!!!Submitted By Grace W on 07/03/2009

can highly recommend sharm excursions , we booked for a day trip to Tiran Island which was brill I really liked the fact you can book before you go so that you don't need to go looking for a good priced rep when out there , pay a small deposit , then they come to your hotel for the balance in cash when you are there , every thing was fine the bus that collected us was about 20 mins late but not the fault of sharm excursions at all and when they knew about it they phoned me to apologize overall very good and if i go back to sharm will with use againSubmitted By kenny on 23/05/2009
It's a long day but really worth it. Tour guide in luxor really great and helpful - made the day. Excellant trip would recommend it. The only issues i had were it says you get to visit the market in luxor which we didn't have the oportunity to do. Also it says drinks on the bus are included in price however we were charged 5 egyptian pounds for out of date water.Submitted By Fiona Wilmshurst on 23/07/2009
July 2009. We went to cairo by bus. It is a long trip on the coach beware of people lying seats down which makes a very uncomfortable journey as no leg room! However once you get to cairo excellent trip. Tour guide laurence fantastic. Also bus driver really friendly. Had opportunity to go by boat rather than bus to restaurant. Again said you got opportunity to go to cairo market which we didn't but drinks were included. Would highly recommend trip to cairo but recommend flying.Submitted By Fiona Wilmshurst on 23/07/2009
July 2009. bedouin guide who took us up the mountain fantastic. Really hard journey up the mountain but well worth it once you get to the top - a real sense of achievement and views spectacular. A long walk in the sun back down the mountain i would recommend going by camel. St catherine's beautiful. Restaurant for breakfast is not very clean especially the toilets. In Recent weeks I have had a number of tripadvisor members request details of locally based excursion operators in Hurghada, although there are plenty to choose from most don’t offer a good service. In the Past two weeks I have been checking out the services offered by one particular Excursion company Egypt Excursions, that is based in Hurghada and have excursions from most of the major tourist resorts in Egypt. The two Excursions that I took were there one day excursion to Cairo and their one day excursion to Luxor, although this is a small company the personal service is excellent and their staff are always willing to help. The trip to Luxor was simply excellent from the pick up at the hotel that was by black limo we were taken to Luxor direct, so no joining a large group this made for a far more relaxed journey to Luxor indeed a lot faster as well, when we arrived in Luxor we were greeted by our Egyptologist Khaled at this point we transferred to a small land cruiser as there were only four people on our excursion, this was good as there was plenty of room as the cruiser was designed for 12 people. From here we went to The Karnak Temples where we spent a relaxed morning and a morning that was very informative after this we were driven to the West Bank to the view the Memon and the Temple of Hatshepsut prior to taking lunch at a well appointed Egyptian Restaurant on the West Bank after this we visited the Valley of the Kings and then our final part of the excursion was a trip on the river Nile with soft drinks served, after this we were returned to the East Bank of the river Nile where we joined our land cruiser for the journey back to Hurghada. This was an excellent day out and was excellent value for money compared with other tours I have done in the past I could not really fault this one and indeed the personal service was excellent. The Second excursion was just as good but this did mean joining a public coach service from Hurghada to Cairo, that I must say some people may well be dubious about doing, however I found this to be a far better way of travelling indeed the coach was comfortable and we were all given a small snack box for the journey that took some 6 hours to Cairo, where we had a wait to meet our Egyptologist Mary, and our land cruiser, again there was only five of us on this tour and this was a benefit as we were again given a very much more personal service. We started our tour with a visit to the Giza Plateau and the mighty great Pyramids of Giza, this was a good place to start the day as when we go there, there were very few other tourists about and were given a leisurely time to view the Pyramids and the surrounding area, after this we dropped down of the Giza Plateau and visited the Sphinx this was again a leisurely stroll and at no point did I feel rushed like I have on numerous other tours. After this we had a small journey around Cairo visiting some of the old parts of the city prior to going to one of the many papayas factories in Cairo and then a small Perfume factory, after this we went for lunch on the river Nile, this was again a well chosen venue and there was plenty of food to choose from. On completing lunch we made our way to our final visit of the day the museum of Egyptology better known as the Cairo Museum where we again spent a good time viewing the artefacts of ancient Egypt prior to getting some spare time to ourselves after this we were transferred back to the main coach station in Cairo for our journey back to Hurghada, all in all this was yet another day of great value and again went without a hitch, I can firmly recommend this excursion company for these tours from first contact with their manager by phone Mohamed to the assistance to and from Hurghada by his staff I cannot fault their service. I have to say that these guys made our trip fantastic, from the minute we landed we had emails confirming our bookings we were picked up in the morning by Ibrahim & all I can ssay is this guy knows his history & explained so much. It was my partners birthday & he arranged for a birthday cake to be presented out of his own pocket, the driver Sabbir is a star, the gaps he gets through are amazing. These guys made the holiday through experience knowlege & above all what I would call friendship. If your British you have to go to St Georges Chapel to have your mind played with as my thoughts for ST George has totally changed. Sabbir, Ibrahim & Mohammed thank you so much.Submitted By Ian Tearle & Miriam on 02/06/2010
Overall a excellent experience. For travellers using this tour excursion we were a bit wary as they ask us to meet them outside the hotel, but there was no need to worry at all they were very welcoming and really friendly. They are a genuine company which we thought maybe we were taking a big risk - we were wrong. The tour was brilliant the guide was brillant we even went on the nile with a extra cost but well worth it. We went by plane and the whole day was worth every penny. I cannot say enough about this tour. Thank you to everyone from the drivers to the guide and also the the escort to the airport. (my only suggestion to egypt excursions would be, maybe visiting the pyramids earlier or later and not at the height of the temperatures mid afternoon, it was really too hot for me)Submitted By Lisa Clark on 02/06/2010
